Iya Ibadan Sneh was born and bred in Ibadan the capital city of Oyo State. She is a Yoruba actress, writer, and producer.
She started her elementary education at the Ebenezer Nursery and Primary, later switch to the Army Children School, Iwo road, Ibadan where she completed her First Leaving School Certificate.
She had her high school education at the Holy Trinity Grammar School, Old Ife Road, Ibadan, and completed her Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE).
She started her acting career at an early age while still in primary when she joined the late Segun Ojo theatre group and remained with the group till the end of primary education.
During her high school education, she joined the school’s cultural group and performed several stage plays. She was opportune to join the Adetunji Ibrahim Jawara theatre group when the group visited her high school for a stage performance. While with the group, she met with the likes of prominent Yoruba actor and producer Akinyemi Ganiyu Olaiya and renowned actor, writer, and director Muyiwa Ademola. She stayed with the group for some year after high school and did a lot of stage performances.
She later joined the theatre group led by the veteran actor, writer, and director Rasaq Olayiwola “Ojopagogo”. She shot to limelight while with this group, particularly when she featured as “Ade” in the Yoruba drama movie titled: “Afasegbejo”, written and directed by Rasaq Olayiwola “Ojopagogo” and produced by Kunle Oketade.
